Almost all of these parks have little playgrounds, so last week we decided to test Mary Grace's swinging ability and learned that she is a natural. As we stated a few posts ago, she was a little hesitant at first, but now appears to love it. She gets really serious each time she is being pushed away from us, and super excited every time she swings back in our direction. It is like a perpetual series of adventures, one after another.
One of the things that wasn't around when I was a kid is the synthetic surface they put under a lot of the swing sets and playground structures. It is like a Mondo track surface on which, I presume, it is safer for kids to land after falling off of the monkey bars. Anyway, it always makes me think of a track.
"Are you going to push me, or are we just going to sit here all day?"
Mommy is good at pushing the swing, but not quite as good as Daddy!
