The last two weeks have been rather busy for Mary Grace...
Our families joined us to celebrate Mary Grace's Baptism last weekend at our church in Washington, and shortly after we all drove down to Linville to spend a week in the mountains.
Mary Grace absolutely loved being the center of attention, and was absolutely flawless up on the alter during the actual Baptismal ceremony. I have to admit that we were expecting her to cry or make some sort of a commotion, but she just smiled and enjoyed the whole thing. Colin and Johanna are Mary Grace's Godparents, and we cannot thank them enough for making the long trip to be there on her big day. It has been really cool watching Mary Grace actually begin to recognize different people when they visit. At this point, it appears that she can distinguish her aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins when she sees them.
It was fun getting everyone together, and since we had her Baptized on a Saturday evening, the whole crew went out for a celebratory dinner at Cafe Milano after Mass. We want to thank the two generous grandfathers for that treat...

The week following Mary Grace's Baptism was spent in Linville with Geegee and Poppie. We could not have asked for better weather, enjoying sixty-five and seventy degree days the entire time we were there. After all of the fishing, golf, shopping, eating and good company, it was very hard to come back to work this week.
Mary Grace and Molly got to meet Chelsea and Jackson Garrett for lunch while we were up there, and the two kids hit it off well. Jack is such a good-looking little guy, and Mary Grace flirted with him the whole time.

The night before leaving for Linville, Molly and I went to the Coldplay concert with Richard, Lanie and Johanna. Richard got us in one of the boxes at the Verizon Center, and needless to say we had a great view of the show without the hassle of being in a huge crowd of people. It had been a while since Molly and I had been to a concert like this, so we all made it a big evening by pre-gaming at Poste and just having a killer time. Thank you Richard...
