House Party

We have had a pretty exciting month, highlighted by a visit from the Gallo and Mason families and a trip to Charleston for Memorial Day weekend. Mary Grace loved having Thomas Gallo and Jack Mason around the house, and even shared most of her toys without putting up a fight. The weather proved to be nice, so we put the kids to bed and spent half the night on the porch talking about old times. It felt just like we were back in college again... until we had to wake up at six in the morning to fix bottles, make breakfast and turn on Noggin for the early rising younger set. All in all, we had a great time visiting with everyone, and hope to do so more often in the future.

Last weekend we decided on a whim to drive down to Charleston for the long weekend. While it did rain for most of the time we were there, we were able to get some quality pool time in between showers. We also ventured over to the beach one afternoon to see how Mary Grace would react. Sure enough, she loved it. She ran straight for the water, stopping only to pick up interesting shells and other flotsam and jetsam on the beach.
