Birthday Number Three!

We celebrated Mary Grace's third birthday one cool November morning with a huge moon-bounce slide, ten dozen donuts and about forty of her friends. It was a fun party, or at least I heard it was fun... I spent the entire time inside the moon-bounce making sure that nobody broke their neck. At first I thought the kids would be okay on their own, but after someone got kicked in the face thirty seconds into the action, it became clear that a referee was going to be needed.

Because it was a morning party, all of the kids came to our house wearing their pajamas. This made for excellent sliding, so we had some serious daredevils on our hands. Since no one was critically injured and all of the donuts were eaten, I am calling the party a huge success.

Per tradition, I attempted the annual pre-birthday interview the night before Mary Grace's party. I was not very successful this year; she was way too excited for the big day. I had to abandon the attempt after a near jump off the bed, straight into the chifforobe...
