We had our 20-week checkup and ultrasound appointment, and the most widely anticipated news is that we are having a little girl. Of course the most important thing is that she is healthy and very active. We are super excited to be having a daughter; I think we both kind of had a feeling that it was a little girl.
We had a difficult time getting her to sit still inside of Molly's stomach, she didn't appear to want the ultrasound technician to get all of the necessary pictures. She was kicking her legs and moving her arms all over the place. We might have a little athlete on our hands, she certainly likes to keep active.
We got some great ultrasound shots that we have scanned and added below. I'll try my best to explain what you are seeing in each one of these...

This is the clearest of the pictures, and shows us the face, chest and right arm of our daughter. It kind of looks like she is giving us the bird.
This shows us her spinal chord and the back of her head, making certain that everything is growing on schedule. It is a little scary to see the skeleton of your unborn child, but at least it lets you know everything is in place.
This one shows the profile of her nasal bone, ensuring that she has a nose and other facial bones. The profile of her nose is the bright white line.
This is one of our personal favorites. It is simply the bottom of her feet.
