Your mother and I have been waiting for you to arrive for nine long months now, and finally you are here. All of the planning in the world could not have prepared us for the emotion that hit us when you graced the world with your presence. We could have never guessed that we had so much love in our hearts for such a small little bundle of joy. You are more wonderful than anything we could have imagined, and after only one week, you have completely changed our lives for the better.
Life is not always easy; there will be challenges along the way, but your family and friends will always be by your side to help you in any way that we can. Nothing in the world is more important to your mother and me than making you happy and keeping you healthy. This will never change. You have already given us more joy than we ever knew we could feel, so we now have the next 18 years to return the favor. Lets have a good time.
I don’t really know what else to say except that we are so excited to have you join our family, and we love you so very much. I think Kurt said it best when he wrote:
