"Hello!"
We have had some milestones over the past few weeks, the biggest being the arrival of Mary Grace's first tooth. Her lower-left front tooth is coming in pretty quickly, but it doesn't seem to be bothering her too much. If you stick your finger in her mouth, she is quick to test it out, so consider yourself warned.
She is also sitting up on her own, or more accurately, remaining in the position once you help get her seated. She doesn't quite have the ab strength to pull herself into a seated position just yet. Still, she appears to love looking at the world from a new angle. You kind of have to keep an eye on her though, because when she starts to get tired she will just plop back down. In other news, she still refuses to eat any rice cereal at all. She just spits it out and gets mad.
"Aunt" Lindy came to visit the other weekend, and Mary Grace loved being able to hang out with the girls for a while. When Molly and Lindy went out later that night with friends, Mary Grace and I hung out back at home and watched a movie together.
This past weekend was actually pretty busy, we had Mary Grace all over town doing loads of fun things. We met her cousins James and Owen at Rose Park in Georgetown for a somewhat impromptu petting zoo type of thing on Saturday morning. Some old guy brought his chickens, rabbits, goats, sheep and even a mini horse (like Mini on Rob & Big). It was fun to see all of the animals and spend some time with the Manns. We didn't get any pictures of the mini horse, unfortunately, but we should have some other pictures from last weekend's events coming soon.
