Recently, Lindy came up to Washington and she and Molly went out for a night on the town with several other ladies. This meant Mary Grace and I were going to have an exciting time at home watching movies and ordering from City Lights of China... a big night in my book.

Mary Grace loves a good dinner party, and had an especially killer time over at the Kouba's house the other night. Anna and Kouba were nice enough to have the three of us over for dinner, and Mary Grace lasted fairly late into the evening to our delight. We haven't stayed out past midnight in a very long time, so we definitely took advantage of our good fortune.

Later that week, Jessica and John invited us over to their house for a big cookout. Mary Grace got a chance to play with all of the other kids, and seemed to enjoy all of the attention. For some reason, all of the children wanted to hold her, and Mary Grace didn't seem to mind at all. It was a special time as well, because it was the very first time that Molly and I had another child ask us about her hand. The little boy was very polite, and as we were leaving for the night he simply asked why her hand was so small. We answered by telling him that it was just the way that God had made her. He paused, smiled, and even gave Mary Grace a hug goodbye. His older sister, who was probably around ten or eleven broke the silence by saying, "she is gonna be just fine." I think their mother was a little nervous, but we thought it was great.

In other news, Molly and I found a new place to live here in DC... we will be moving next month. We love our current home, but we found that we just need more space. We are only moving up the street, but are pretty excited about the new digs.
Speaking of needing more space, Mary Grace was literally spilling out of her little cradle, so we decided she was more than due for a full sized crib. Her new bed literally takes up our entire bedroom, but that is just fine because in about three weeks she is going to have her very own nursery!

Last, but certainly not least, Mary Grace is very excited to welcome her new friend Kennedy Elizabeth Goodman into the world. Congrats to the entire Goodman family!
