Maggie and Mary Grace had a fun time playing together while we went to dinner, walked around town and visited with Lanie. We woke up early on Saturday to drive to Shelby, where we spent the day hanging out with family. Maggie was a little angel child the entire time we were there, while Mary Grace did her best to destroy everything within her reach. It was a tiring day for Daddy, who had the bright idea of letting Mommy stay home and have a relaxing day alone. All-in-all, it was a good time and Mary Grace loved being able to see her great-grandparents, aunts and cousins. We are all very excited about Cousin Gracie, who is expecting a new addition to the family this November!
In other news, we have just been hanging out, enjoying the stifling heat as much as possible. Mary Grace starts church-school in a few weeks, so she just picked out her new "piggie" backpack, which she loves. She is talking like crazy, can say her ABCs, knows how to count to 20, loves to sing along to our music and even has her own favorite songs. It is amazing how quickly kids pick up and retain information. She is constantly exploring things and figuring out answers to her own questions. We love her so much.
