Cult Of Personality

It is a little strange when you have a baby at the beginning of the summer, and then fall rolls around and she has turned into a little girl. I swear that Mary Grace has grown-up more in the last three months than in the previous twenty, combined. Now we are starting to have little conversations with each other, she sings the lyrics to songs word-for-word and she is even starting to inflect her speech (mostly when she isn't getting her way). She has truly begun to show her personality, and she has a lot of it.

Lately, she has been expressing her excitement to see her Aunt Johanna get married. She has a little bride and groom toy set that she got from Meemaw and Peepaw when they came to visit over Labor Day. She has been playing with those to get ready for the big day. We are heading down to Charleston this weekend for the wedding, and all three of us couldn't be more excited.

Speaking of marriage, Molly and I just celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary earlier this month. Mary Grace stayed with Geegee and Poppie while Molly and I spent a long weekend in Asheville. We had so much fun, but when it was time to leave, we honestly couldn't wait to get back home to see Mary Grace. It was only the second time that we had been away from her for more than a few hours. She looked older when we got home...

Five years of marriage and we still haven't had a single argument. (Okay, we have gotten a lot of comments about this. Yes, I was kidding. We have actually had a few arguments over the past 15 years together).
